The first meeting of the Standards Working Group, whose aim is to advise the Commission on the ongoing development of the Standards for Services Provided to Victims and Survivors, took place today.
The meeting was chaired by the Commissioner and membership included representatives from the Victims and Survivors Forum, Victims and Survivors Service, the Executive Office, Public Health Agency and the Belfast Trust.
Also included in the Working Group are service deliverers including Bridge of Hope, Centre for Health and Wellbeing, Decorum NI, East Belfast Community Counselling, Ely Centre Holy Trinity, SEFF (South East Fermanagh Foundation) and VAST (Victims and Survivors Trust).
The Working Group will meet quarterly to assess whether changes should be made to improve the Standards so that they continue to be fit for purpose and provide the best support for those most in need.
