Our Research – RoI Population Survey
Commission for Victims & Survivors are currently working with Social Market Research to deliver an adult population survey in the Republic of Ireland on a range of issues affecting the wellbeing of victims and survivors of the Troubles/conflict. The 2026 survey follows on from a previous survey conducted in the south in 2023 that highlighted that 10% of adults there said that they could meet the definition of a victim and survivor. The survey also revealed that that 7% of adults in the south said their mental health has been affected by a Troubles/conflict related incident with 4% of the adult population reporting that they had been affected by a conflict-related bereavement.
Commission for Victims & Survivors look forward to publishing the data from the latest survey in the months ahead.
