Victims and Survivors Forum: 2025 Year in Review

Commissioner Joe McVey with the Victims and Survivors Forum

As we reflect on the past year, the Commission for Victims & Survivors is pleased to share the engagement activity which is has put the voices for victims and survivors at the centre of all we do. Over the course of the year, we provided a listening platform for Forum members to inform and shape conversations on the issues that matter most to all victims and survivors. A full table of these meetings is available on our website. 2025-List-of-Forum-Meetings-and-Stakeholders.pdf

The Commission would like to extend our sincere thanks to all Forum members for their commitment, insight, and generosity with their time. Their contributions have been central to ensuring that engagement has been thoughtful, informed, and impactful.

We would also like to express our deep appreciation to those members who have stepped down during the year as well as those who are no longer with us. Our thoughts are with their families and loved ones. Their dedication and the perspectives they brought to the Forum have been greatly valued, and their input has helped to strengthen our work.

Every contribution, both past and present, has played an important role for informing the Commission’s work, and we are extremely grateful to all involved. We look forward to building on this work as we continue into the coming year.
