Why is My Contribution Important?

In response to a question posed by the Commission in a recent population survey, 26% of the Northern Ireland population stated that they or a family member continue to be affected by a conflict-related incident. This equates to approximately 380,000 people.

This is an opportunity for all victims and survivors to give their views on the establishment of these mechanisms and it is critically important that this legislation considers the views of those who have suffered most, however, victims and survivors will not be the only beneficiaries in finding a way to deal with the past in Northern Ireland.
