The Commission’s 2021 Northern Ireland Population Survey found that 24% of its 2099 respondents stated they met the legal definition of a victim or survivor of the Troubles / conflict.
88% agreed that it was important to address the legacy of the Troubles / conflict. It found support for health and well-being support, advocacy (legal) support, financial support and family therapy being delivered for those affected by the Troubles through their work, and others.
