Victims and Survivors Service

The Victims and Survivors Service (VSS) was established in April 2012 as an arm's length body of The Executive Office. It is responsible for administering Executive Office funding that is set aside specifically for victims and survivors. For the period 2013-2015, this funding amounts to £20 million.

The Executive Office's funding for victims and survivors enables the VSS to carry out two key tasks:

  1. Assess the needs of individual victims and survivors, in order to provide tailored services and support; and
  2. To allocate resources to organisations that provide services and support to victims and survivors.

The Commission will continue to review and support the VSS in providing the best possible services to individuals and communities over the coming years.

VSS quarterly reviews can be accessed here.
